The Chuck Brothers started back in 1987. The original member were Rich (Rahaan) Ameer (Gandi), Ryan, Dennis (Booda), Kerry (c-4), Ken (afrodesia), Eric (Lemonhead), Terrell(JuneBug). We were a dancing music orientated group that some off us evolved into DJ,s (afrodesia, Rahaan, Booda, Ameer) We use to go out to the local Disco Sets here in the Chicago from the Power House, Muzik Box, Medusa’s, Reactor, Bizmark Hotel,B -Side Café, and the Spot,

We loved to battle dance (friendy) against some of the Dance Groups at the parties (Ambassadors, Ecstasy, to name a few)..

We use to collect old Ron Hardy Tapes and got turned on to spin from him and other Dj’s around the chi-town area at that time. One big influence for the hood (Maywood) was Mike Brown whom use to play at the Bizmark with Lil Louis. Him and his brother Maurice had a nice tape collection of unreleased music that some cuts was never released on wax. Edits Re-mixes of classic cuts use to keep us motivated where we wanted to spin records. We use to spin off tape players with no Pitch ! That was very cumbersome but when we got 12’s it was amazing how this helped hone the craft of spinning records.

Cee White was a inspiration at this time and we combined force to experiment in playing off each other in 1990. We have been steady add members such as our hot production team Chubb (Boogienite), Climmie (Bruce Ivory) Orlando (OV1). These members finalize a staple product, which we call the Chuck Brothers..
